The elimination or rather the treatment of our green waste has an impact on the environment, in particular by the transport logistics that it requires. By using tools allowing in situ waste management, the Aydat municipal grinding platform responds to several logics : Avoid spillage (Wild deposit) or burning green waste, two practices which as you know (or not) are prohibited by law. It therefore appears essential to :
- Manage green waste as close as possible to production areas to limit transport and fuel costs
- Limit the supply of green waste to recycling centers to reduce economic and environmental costs
- Recover recyclable materials (crushed materials) in municipalities by supporting the development of shared gardening and composting practices (mulch, compost by-products)
- A new service for people that proves that ecology can be treated in a positive way.
The municipal platform is the last action of the system to reduce the generation of biological waste and its impact on the environment.
How the platform works
The grinding platform of the old recycling center at the bottom of Puy de Charmont (Above Verneuge) is intended to store pruned branches and plants, in herb, ni gazon, nor lawn. Only residents of Aydat and municipal employees can place their branches within the area provided for by the demarcated location.. All residents of Aydat will be able to access this service. Once the municipal agents have cut the branches using the shredder, they will be able to recover shredded material to enhance their garden. (while stock lasts).
