The hamlet of Fontclairant
Fontclairant, village located at the foot of Puy de Charmont between Verneuge and La Garandie to the west of Lac d’Aydat in the Puy-de-Dôme department (63). Fontclairant is one of the seventeen hamlets that make up the town of Aydat, Located in the Puy-de-Dôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Nestled in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park, This locality benefits from a preserved natural environment, offering a peaceful living environment to its inhabitants. Fontclairant is also the starting point for several hiking trails, especially in the direction of Puy de Vichatel, allowing nature lovers to discover the surrounding volcanic landscapes. The hamlet also houses a traditional wash house located Chemin des Puys, testifying to the local rural heritage.
