Fishing Lac d’Aydat is authorized from 21 March to 31 December. Every year several hundred kg of rainbow trout / fario are released into the waters of the lake.
According to the species, specific opening dates apply. It is possible to fish from the banks or from a boat, in compliance with current regulations.
Opening dates
- General season : of 21 March to 31 December.
- Pike : opening end of April.
- Sandra : opening in June.
Shore and boat fishing
Fishermen can practice their activity from the shores of the lake or by boat (barque, canoe, float-tube…). The launching of boats is authorized from the end of April.
Fishing on the beach is permitted only until early April.
Trout stocking
Releases of rainbow trout are planned to strengthen the population of the lake in March
Regulation
- Until 3 lines are authorized per fisherman (1 only line for those under 16 ans).
- The catch quotas are as follows :
- Trout : 6 captures maximum, of which only one greater than 40 cm.
- Perches : 10 captures maximum.
- Pike or zander : 1 maximum fish per day.
- Wearing a life jacket is obligatory on boat.
You can fish from sunrise to sunset (at legal times). Fishing has been authorized since beach until 5 avril. The use of thermal engines is prohibited for fishing on the lake.
People wishing to practice night carp fishing must also have a specific card.

To fish, you need a personal fishing license, as well as proof of identity. They must be presented in the event of an inspection to the lake's fishing guard..
