Forgetting a bathroom in the description of the real estate ad
We start gently with a small oversight… During the scheduled visit to a property, discovery of the premises in the company of a previously unknown agent. The visit starts, salon, cuisine, bathroom, bedrooms, and oh surprise, a second bathroom (although it was not mentioned in the description of the real estate advertisement). I point it out to the agent who is just as surprised and immediately tells me that itโs the bonus, the pleasant surprise of the visit… Throughout the visit and my questions I would finally realize that the photos were not his, that his description came from a third person and therefore that he discovered the house at the same time as me…
Leaving all the photos of a house on the internet even though it has been sold for several years
When a neighbor realizes that photos of his interior, from her kitchen, of his rooms, of his bathroom, of his garden are accessible on the internet. The real estate agent had not taken care to remove the for sale announcement, this even though the new owner had been living in his house for several years. Anxious that someone with bad intentions might use them, for a burglary in particular, the new owner therefore contacted the real estate agent in question to intervene and delete these photos.
It may be wise when you buy a house to check the different ad sites once installed., to see if there are still some traces of your new house.

Do not let you visit the attic because it is “forbidden”…
When visiting a house, we wanted to see what the attic was like, take the opportunity to take a look at the insulation, on the frame and underside of the roof. Impossible according to the real estate agent, According to him, special authorization was required because this was strictly prohibited, by who, Why, he doesn't have to answer us… The rest of the house did not meet our expectations, we did not insist and never knew if these attics were hiding something or if simply the only problem came from the real estate agent himself.…
Copy your entire customer portfolio when sending an announcement by email
When a real estate agent sends you by email a property that he has just returned and which he copies (unhidden recipient list – CC) its mailing list is a whole part of its customer portfolio. For my part I found this inappropriate, but a priori I was the only one to be perplexed that the functionality was not used CCI (Invisible recipient list)… This email included the names, first names and email addresses of all people who have used the services of the same agent and have a search similar to mine… At first I thought it was a simple error and therefore decided to write to the agent pointing out the fact that each of his clients had received the listing of other potential buyers.… I am told that it is not an error but rather transparency… Transparency that could ultimately be likened to a technique aimed at displaying increased competition between buyers, thus pushing them to make an offer quickly and as close to the price as possible… I therefore take the liberty of sending back an email explaining that I do not find it very professional to disclose the addresses of your clients., that I believed that a real estate professional should demonstrate a minimum of confidentiality… I was told that I was the only one who had pointed out to him… The error is human, and is sometimes accompanied by bad faith… A few weeks later he will do it again, sharing his client portfolio with me once again.. This time he decided to send us the LeBonCoin ads of competing real estate agencies, explaining to us that he was available to approach sellers and pull the rug out from under his competitors… Common practice in the real estate industry…
In the same line, another real estate agency will share the names, first names and email addresses of more than 500 current customers… We were therefore 500 to have the contact details of 499 other people looking for property in this real estate agency… The icing on the cake was the emailing concerning the sale of a new apartment, while we are looking for a house, targeting : 0/20. A few days later the agency apologized for this error, while not forgetting to mention that the blunder was made by the newly recruited new kid…
